A chance meeting with a leading local alpaca breeder, who had an interest in producing knitwear, steered me in the direction of the fabulous alpaca socks you'll find on this website.
I started the business in March 2006 using only British produced alpaca but we just could not get enough of the highest grade fibre we required for the knitting machines and now import substantial amounts of alpaca yarn from Peru.
The yarn is dyed in two factories in the UK, it is then knitted up into all the ranges you see here. The socks then go to a finisher where they are washed, dried, pressed and then back to the knitting factory to be paired up, size labelled and packed. It is a long process and can take up to nine months and that is why after the busy winter months we are very often low and out of stock of some sock sizes.
This is our eighteenth year of trading and will be the last for me as I am retiring.
