Our New Range of Knitwear Photographed At last!

Well it has been a long old slog getting the new range of alpaca knitwear photographed and uploaded this year but at long last I've done it. The first shoot day was with our male model doing our alpaca V neck sweaters, alpaca crew neck sweaters and alpaca cardigans.

About Alpaca and our Glamourous Alpaca Fur Hats

Because this is the time of year when we all want to feel warm and cosy we thought we'd tell you a bit about our alpaca at Perilla, and in particular about our incredibly warm alpaca fur hats, which storm out of the door as soon as it gets really cold and are one of our bestselling (and favourite) products.

Perilla Country Socks For Ride Round England!

Just had a phone call from William Reddaway who is riding his lovely horse Strider all around Britain visiting Cathedrals on his way. He rang for some more socks as the ones he has on have already done 147 days and 1,800 miles - as you might imagine, he is pretty impressed with the performance of his Pillar Box Red Perilla Country Socks!

Our alpaca walk and climb socks are best sellers this summer.  It may have been 80 degrees, and we're never really surprised about what our customers buy from us at different times of the year, but we've noticed that the fine weather has brought out the heartiest of our walkers and climbers in Scotland this year in particular.

Alpaca Socks From Perilla In The Garden

Here at Perilla we are getting very excited about our first crop of new potatoes. As with everything on the farm this year, these have come through a whole month later than what is considered normal for us on the Hereford/Worcester border.

Ribbed Alpaca Socks For Farmers at Perilla

At last the shearer came this week to shear our small flock, a month later than normal thanks to the abnormally cold Spring. So glad we only had 15 and not 215 to do in this heat, it was bad enough as it was. When Perilla alpaca socks took off six years ago I sold my beautiful flocks of Charollais and Suffolk ewes that I had bred for 25 years

Gorgeous Roses and Socks for Gardeners At Perilla

This is a wonderful time of year, just as the sun starts coming out properly and everything on the farm looks so attractive as the roses and plants flower at their peak.

Welcome to our New Blog at Perilla

This is our first post on our new blog at Perilla, which we hope you'll come back and visit regularly.

We'll be telling you all about our wonderful alpaca socks amongst other things, including why we use this exceptional luxuriously soft and hardwearing fibre - and why a pair of our socks will out last and out wear anything you can find elsewhere.
