A long hard day yesterday doing our annual photo shoot of all of our products including our all time favourite alpaca bed socks which you can see here. This year we used Ludlow Castle as a location, set in the heart of Ludlow town itself, it is an incredibly busy tourist destination. We were well looked after by the Castle staff and had hoped to sit down to a luxurious lunch in the Tea Rooms which looked delicious, but sadly everyone had to rush off straight after we finished at about 3.30pm. The photographer and the stylist had travelled from Wiltshire so unsurprisingly wanted to get a head start on a three hour journey back.

We started off the day with the interior shots of our latest  alpaca bed socks in palest blue and lilac and then moved on to our latest venture, long striped alpaca bed socks in two of our favourite new colours, grape and palest lilac. These are not quite the same mix as our normal alpaca bed socks as we have found in the past that having a 90% mix did not keep the stripes in order - they looked crooked and not that great in a box. This time we have done an 82% alpaca 18% nylon mix and this has given us some proper straight stripes without compromising the warmth of the socks too much.

We then went outside and did several hours of our alpaca fur hats, hand knitted cable alpaca hats, arm warmers and alpaca leg warmers. We finished off with a new range of waxed and tweed hats but sadly I was so busy lugging accessories and changes of boots etc. that I could not manage my camera as well!

The above was the very last shot of the day; our most popular range of three-quarter length alpaca socks - strict instructions not to move around and make the photographer's camera vibrate. Thank you Jake Eastham, I can't wait to see the final result and thank you Lou for taking over the styling and giving everything a really funky and different look - it was incredibly refreshing!
